HOW TO PLAY MYSTERIUS MYSTERY PARTY GAMES?
Mysterius reinvents murder mystery parties for friends, colleagues, or family, allowing everyone to step into a character's shoes and experience a captivating adventure. Participants, while embodying a character, gather information and analyze clues to solve the crime, all accompanied by an ambiance video that ensures as much fun for the game master as for the guests. Who will be able to solve the mystery? Here's the procedure for a successful evening after your online purchase and receiving your game kit by email: 1. The organizer should read the instructions, choose a character for themselves, and distribute each player's character sheet, including information to share, clues, and a costume suggestion, at least 24 hours before the game. 2. Players should have their character sheet and the clues to share during the game. 3. The game starts as soon as everyone is ready, and the organizer plays the ambient video. 4. Players gather in small groups to discuss and exchange the information to be revealed from their character sheets. 5. A crime is committed. If it's a murder, the player of the deceased character continues to play by embodying a new character. Each character has a motive, but only one is the culprit, who plays without knowing their guilty role to allow them to participate in the investigation. 6. Each player investigates based on the clues and shared information. In some games, new information must be revealed after the crime. 7. The game ends when the ambient video finishes or when players have discovered or given up on finding the culprit. The organizer can then stop the video and reveal the culprit's identity by reading, using a mirror, the unveiling text found in the game's instruction document.
RECEPTION: BETWEEN COCKTAIL DINNER AND SEATED DINNER
Our games are designed to be primarily played standing in a shared space. Players, grouped in small committees of 2 to 4, exchange information to reveal about their characters. A cocktail dinner reception (serving of appetizers) is ideal for facilitating exchanges and immersion into the roles, offering a more dynamic experience than traditional murder mystery games. The character sheets encourage improvisation with lines to naturally integrate into conversations, avoiding a strictly scripted scenario. If you prefer everyone to play around a table and present each character's revelations simultaneously, the organizer will need to end the ambient video sooner, as this process will expedite the analysis of clues and the resolution of the mystery.
DOES THE ORGANIZER KNOW IN ADVANCE WHO THE CULPRIT IS?
After your purchase, download the game, assign a character to each guest, and dive into the adventure! If the organizer avoids looking at the character sheets, they can also participate without knowing the culprit. The ambient video will guide the game's facilitation, with key events happening at specific moments.
CAN WE PLAY WITHOUT THE AMBIENT VIDEO?
The ambient video is essential for the smooth progress of the game and must be displayed on a screen, clearly visible to all players during the game. In addition to providing a good atmosphere throughout the game, it guides the players through its various stages and indicates the time remaining until the end. The video should be started at the beginning of the game. The link to the video is provided in the game instructions sent via email after purchase. Once the mischief has occurred, and the investigation has begun, players are free to stop the video as they see fit, depending on the progress of the players in solving the case.
CAN WE PLAY WITH FEWER PLAYERS THAN THE REQUIRED MINIMUM?
For an optimal experience, it is advisable to adhere to the recommended number of players (min-max) for the chosen game. However, for games where the wrongdoing is not a murder, you can assign up to two additional characters to one or two players at most, excluding the host character. These players should familiarize themselves with their characters in advance and decide which one to play first. The character switch can take place after the wrongdoing, as players will need to ensure they communicate all the post-wrongdoing information from the first character to all the other players before changing characters.
HOW DO YOU RECEIVE THE MYSTERIUS GAME AFTER PURCHASING IT?
After your purchase on our website, you will automatically receive an email containing the link to download your game. It is recommended to download the game as soon as you receive the link. You can then organize your game on the date of your choice. The game kit, in the form of PDF documents, includes everything you need: instructions, the culprit reveal text, the link to the ambiance video, terms of use, the procedure for character allocation based on the number of players, character sheets containing the information to be revealed, costume suggestions, and the game's context. Read the instructions, distribute the character sheets to the players, and get ready for a memorable evening.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?

If you do not receive it, even after checking your spam folder, it may be due to a PayPal transaction review, a security measure that is usually resolved within 24 hours. Your report should include the username or any other identifier of the offending individual, a detailed description of the alleged violation, and if possible, any supporting evidence (screenshots, recordings, etc.).
